Line of Communications is a newsletter about the wargames published by HMS/GRD — the Europa, Glory, and The Great War series. LOC is published as color .pdf files.
We are always interested in submissions to LOC. Please send articles, house rules, game reports, images, whatever is relevant to Europa, Glory and The Great War, and the history of WWI and WWII and their ancillary wars.
Sorry to bear bad news. The short of it: LOC is no more.
The long version: There was only one article submitted for LOC 7. When I decided to publish LOC in 2007, it was meant as a forum for the Europa community. Alas, this community is becoming more and more disenchanted; the reasons for this are known to all. That's a pity, but there it is. The dearth of submissions for LOC is but a small sign of this disenchantment.
To be sure, there were promises of material for future issues of LOC, as well as the one submitted article for LOC 7 by Fabio Palumbo. Not only that, but David H. Lippman also graciously offered the contents of his website for publication.
Unfortunately, right now this isn't enough to keep LOC in business. David's pages are wonderful, but I feel that LOC should publish content that's unavailable elsewhere. So I decided to pull the plug.
My deepest thanks go to all the authors that contributed to LOC, and to the wonderful readers of this e-zine. My thanks also to Gar Olmstead, Arthur Goodwin, and Rich Banner, for their kind permission to use their trademarks.
Folks, it was a good time, but all good things end. So long.

The first two issues of LOC had a mistaken attribution of the Europa trademark. I have already uploaded corrected versions to the download page, and I offer Rich Banner an apology for the inadvertent misuse of his intellectual property. Rich has graciously allowed the use of the Europa trademark in the newsletter, for which I'm deeply grateful.
The second issue of LOC is out. You may get it at the downloads page. LOC is now a quarterly publication.
